Vigor Ratings are listed on each variety in our 2007-08 This year, a team of our growers gathered together to apply a Vigor Rating System to all of our Proven Winners® and Proven Selections® Annuals and Perennials. Many times when a grower plants a combination container, they are uncertain if all of the plants will grow and perform equally. Sometimes one plant is not nearly as vigorous as the other plants it has been combined with and will quickly be overgrown and lost. Our goal was to take away the guess work so that you can combine varieties of near-equal vigor. For this goal, we have applied a 1-4 rating to all plants. 1 being the slowest growers and 4 to the quickest, biggest growers. You can find a rating applied to each variety in our 2007-2008 catalog.
